Wel, we zijn twee maanden verder sinds mijn eerste opdracht. Ik heb er heel wat ervaring kunnen mee opdoen en eens mogen ervaren wat nu het "échte werk" eigenlijk wel is. Sindsdien beginnen de opdrachten zich langzaamaan aan te melden. Een fotografisch reclameconcept, foto's nemen van het handelswaar die kleinhandelaars online promoten, particuliere fotografie...
Ook word er grondig werk gemaakt van het Urban Exploration thema.

Well, it's been two months since my first assignment. It gave me the opportunity to gather a lot of experience, such as knowing what "the real thing" is really like.
Ever since, new assignments keep coming in. A photographical commericial concept, pictures of different shopkeepers' merchandise to put online, 'comon' photography...
Also working hard on plans with this Urban Exploration theme.

Dadipark, Dadizele.
Een pretpark in verval, een plaats waar veel mensen van mijn leeftijd, uit onze streek vaak naartoe zijn geweest. Leuke herinneringen werden in een jarenlange strijd tegen de tand des tijds, een handje geholpen door vandalen, systematisch herleid tot een roestende schroothoop. Drugsspuiten, condooms en her en der gebluste vuurtjes tussen de kapotte omgeving zijn meer schering dan inslag. Het is enerzijds erg jammer te zien wat er van geworden is, maar anderzijds een hele mooie ervaring voor een eerste 'Urban Exploration'

Dadipark, Dadizele.
A theme park in ruins, a place where a lot of people of my age, from our lands have gone to many times. Nice memories were, in a long term battle against the destructive hand of time, which received some help from vandals, systematically destroyed. Drug needles, condoms, burnt-out fires here and there spotted in the broken enviroment are very comon. I feel sorry to see what it has become, but on the other hand found it a wonderful experience for my first 'Urban Exploration'

Mijn tweede opdracht is een gegeven.
Ik mag voor de organisatie Broederlijk Delen foto's nemen van een kampweek rond India.
Ik ben bijzonder blij met deze kans en zal dan ook mijn uiterste best doen om het resultaat de moeite waard te maken.

I may take pictures for the organisation of Broederlijk Delen (may be translated to "Sharing is Caring") during a camp week regarding India.
I'm very glad with this assignment and will do what I can to make the results worthwile.

Wel, mijn eerste echte opdracht is binnen.
Een muzikant/preformer wil dat ik zijn foto's neem die op zijn site zullen belanden. Er is nog niks concreets, maar deze zomer zou het zover zijn. Ik hoop dat de bal die aan het rollen is gebracht nog lang zal doorrollen.
Well, my first real assignment is a fact.
A musician/preformer wants me to take his pictures which will end up and his website. There's nothing official yet but we will most likely do the shoot this summer. I hope that the thing I've started will last for a long time still to come.
